hidden illustrations in the watchtower magazine
by Wendy_Warden ini have been visiting the site of the six screens of the watchtower and one of the things they speak about under screen three (i think) is the hidden pictures in the illustrations contained in the awake and watchtower mags.
i was blown away but what they found.
however, i don't want to seem paranoid about it go some of you should go and see it for yourselves and see if i'm crazy.

wasn't there some kind of Awake or Watchtower, in the late 80's that had a picture of the devil on the front cover? I remember when I was a kid hearing about it

The New Order
by WTWizard inthere is so much talk among the witlesses about the "new" order.
they can't wait until it comes up, and they talk about how much they need it.
they think it is going to come about via god's eliminating wickedness, and that they will be happy there.. however, that is all a blatant lie.

Based on Jehovah’s Witnesses practice of dealing with members of the congregation, makes the confidentiality VOID! As a member you have no perceptions of confidentiality when confessing your sins to the elders, by means of lets say you are guilty and the elders find you guilty, they make a public announcement that you are Disfellowshipped, Reproved, etc. that throws the perception of confidentiality out the window, the elders don’t have to give details of your actions, just by means of announcing that you are guilty of sin, and have been punished and announced to the entire congregation you have no expectations that the matter will be kept in strict confidence.

They Push You In,,,,Then Punish You If You Go!
by new boy inthey brag about the fact that they the don' t baptize their babies because "how can a baby 'know' what religion it wants to believe in the rest of it's life!".
but a 14 year old does?.....they put so much presure on their children to get dunked, that if your not baptize by 18 years old there is something really "wrong" with you.. so the poor kid does it, just to get everyone off their backs.
legally a minor can't be held to a contract if they are under 18 years old and why?

How did you spend the memorial?
by sinis inpersonally, i stayed at home (my wife went), made steaks, drank beer, and watched several vulgar/demonic movies in the world of the jw's (halloween, the eye, hitman, no country for old men, saw iv).
i later went over to my mother in laws house to meet up with some other in laws - who i saved from the jw's - and talked about how the memorial was a waste of f@cking time... then drank more beer waiting for my wife to come back...

Bearish, I think some people just need time to heal, I doubt that deep down any of us take lightly the special meaning of the day, took me 10 years to get through it, now I didn't do anything Saturday night other than dinner with my friend and his family, but sunday, my wife, my grandma and I went to Easter Mass.

Family Guy
by Wordly Andre inever notice that family guy has a lot of jw humor?
the very first episode when peter is talking about how the brady bunch lived in a bad neighborhood, and he says all we got are jemima witnesses, then aunt jemima pops her head in the window and says, yall wants some pancakes.. .
or when the evil monkey in chris' room turns into a jw and he does that evil point to chris while holding a watchtower.

The Evil Monkey – A monkey that lives in Chris's closet and frequently gestures toward him in a threatening manner. Chris tries to tell his family about the existence of the Evil Monkey but, so far, only Stewie believes him. In the show's universe, the monkey was not originally evil, but became so after catching his wife in bed with another monkey, which, according to Seth MacFarlane, leaves him "not so much evil as embittered". Peter is the only other character who has seen the monkey, but he mistook him for Meg. When Chris is out of the house, the Evil Monkey is having time off from gesturing and likes to smoke pot and listen to Foghat. As of It Takes a Village Idiot, and I Married One, he is now a Jehovah's Witness

And when Peter trys out new religions and goes knocking on doors and the guy answers and wants to know more, then Peter is all well I don't know no one has ever said yes!

my Mom wore PANTS to the memorial
by mkr32208 inok so my mom has been a dub for a long time... i don't know how long for sure but since before i was born at least.
anyway she's... well not submissive!
she was in fact a bra burning hippie feminist before becoming a dub and how they ever convinced her i don't know.

OH MY Jehovie, no she didn't!!! hey you wonder how they got your mom, well maybe I can shed some light on that, my aunt is kind of how you described your mom, she got the rest of the family to join, however she was high when the JW's knocked on her door, what a great reason for kids to stay off drugs, Get High= Join a Cult!

Did anyone resist getting baptized
by Wordly Andre indid anyone resist getting baptized?
starting at the age of 12 my parents were pressuring me to get dunked, it started when i came home from school one day and there was a young dub waiting to study with me, he tried for a few months till it became obvious he was more interested in my sister than getting me in that pool.
another attempt was made when i was in the 8th grade, i was walking home from school and a pick up truck pulled over right in front of me and there was another young jehovie, he told me to get in the car, i told him no, and he said that if i didnt get in i would be in big trouble with my parents, reluctantly i got in, he proceeded to take me around town to a few of my friends(worldly) homes and started telling me that these people were all going to die, and that if i wanted to die with them.

I remember my family also tried to talk me into it with the promise of presents, each time one of my cousins, or when my sister got baptized, they were given tons of gifts from the entire family, I remember them telling me don't you want gifts and a party. humm lets see guilt, scare, beat, or bribe
